But they are right. In this game you are doing free running. It all sounds really awsome and looks very, very cool. What doesn't make everything less cool is that Fait (the person you control) is a girl. You will be chaised by many cops, but you won't shoot them that much, you will have no weapons at your disposal, you will only be able to run and fight by hand (and leg). Though if you knock out a cop with a gun, you can take tha gun and use it untill you're out of ammo and have to leave it behind, since it's just a burden while running around. Here is the trailer:

I'm not the least bit excited about it, it jjust seems old and a bit linear everything we have seen mostly looks like a static mesh with invisible walls etc, ihope dice will surprise me but i strongly doubt it sorry guys but that's what i think

I just looked at the gameplay and the game just looks to linear and controlled the helicopter at the end was just too much scripting. No i would liek to see a free running game which utilises the potential of the technique it would be great if something like GTA could be made with it a free world which lets you solve the problems as you see fit.

People please learn the diffrence betwen free running and Parkour.
That does not look a bit like Free Runing Elho It's more like parkour but it isn't Parkour either. I hardly saw any Parkour moves in that trailer

No it isn't parkour does not contain vault and stuff. Parkour is just how you pass objects the most effective while Free Runing is more of an art form

NO!!! Face it! There are no invisible walls. If they would want yo keep you from going off track, they would probably make VISIBLE walls or just an ending of the roof (if you are on a roof)... steep slopes. But this is a game where you have choises to proceed as you want yourself. Though the game has set objectives, that may have been why the copter was a scripted part. it may have been the end of the level. What games does not have any scripted parts? And this is not a game with an open ended world. but you got many choises, like in Crysis. You play on different levels, on different missions, but the levels are WIDE... you can take which ever path you want to. There is no red path that you follow. The "red thing" you talk about is objects that you can interact with, like pipes you can balance on, and grab. Of cource there are far more things you can interact with than those red, but those are the things that you least think you can interact with, just to help the player fastly choose the path he thinks is right. You can disable the red colour if you want. It's just a helping tool, no Strict path you have to follow to come to all these scripted things and do some more linear, scripted stuff.
And BTW... If you don't like linear, scripted games, you shouldn't like CoD4 which is the most linear and scripted game I have ever played in my life. Now..... I'm done =P

Gomsim, look at the trailer where you jump to the building with the red door seriously look at the sides there isn't another path to choose and the entire demo was just super linear that is some scripted stuff. Talkingabout scripts i like them if they are put into a game like cod 4 which is more like a movie than a game. But mirrors edge tries to sell its elf by calling itself a free game and that i a lie

Basicly parkour and Free Runing are the same except that the moves in Free Runing has been choreograped so they will look better. And anyways it's neither of them It's just Parkour/Free runing inspired. No real human would be able to do that (not even me )
